Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Colour Blend Foam

Think Friday night, getting close to twilight and freak power outage. Beginning of daylight savings means it gets dark later so what do you do… it was at that point where it was getting dark inside and opening the house up wasn’t going to help so what better time to sit outside and try a new colour.

Actually there probably would have been a better time because I got eaten alive by bugs, I’m still fighting the urge to scratch as I sit here and type but that’s beside the point.

Nice' n Easy Colour Blend Foam - 5RG Medium Redish Brown

I went with the 5RB Medium Reddish Brown and it’s quite a change for me but I’m really beginning to love it. I went darker for summer this year but I like to do things a little differently.

The Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Colour Blend Foam is very easy to use, as soon as you get past the fact that it looks like a pump bottle but it’s not. It’s a squeeze bottle. It comes out easy and distributes through hair beautifully.

One major point in this products favour is how well it distributes. I have always needed to use 2-3 colours in my hair because of it’s length, I had it cut before my last colour and it has grown a bit since then, not quite to it’s old length though. I was sure I would still need 2 colours for complete coverage in my hair. Not with Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Colour Blend Foam. We managed to get about a pack and a half in before my hair just couldn’t take anymore, I probably could have gotten away with a single pack and I haven’t been able to do that ever. GREAT value!

I will admit that I’m not one to stick too closely to development time, especially when I realised there was no power to my bathroom for light while I washed the colour out. I do have a strong colour, even and all over coverage but with lots of natural highlights and gorgeous shine in the sun.

This was as simple as Mix, Foam and Apply and there seemed to be less mess because this is a drip free foam that means it’s as simple as putting in a clip once the colour is in and going about your business.

This formula delivers on it’s promise to provide 100% grey coverage and I have no doubt the colour intensity will last close to the 8 weeks mentioned on the box.

Being a permanent colour this product contains ammonia and hydrogen peroxide so it is definitely on the nose and it seemed quite strong to me, I don’t know whether this may have been amplified by the fact that we were outside in the fresh air which is unusual.

Clairol Nice ‘n Easy comes in 18 different shades, which seems like a lot when I think about it but that covers your blondes, brunettes, redheads and black. RRP $17.99

You can get yours in selected supermarkets and pharmacies.

  1. hhmm…Im going to have to check out the shades of blonde they have. Im finding that with so many health issues this year that as odd as it sounds but my hair has actually changed colour. Seriously Ive gone from a blonde to my hair now being this weird light brownish colour that i seriously cant explain where its come from and people think ive dyed my hair when i havent. So ive been thinking about dying it as close to my natural hair colour as possible.
I like the no drip system…sounds good to me.

btw…Michelle, your hair looks great. I love the colour…wish i could pull that off.

  2. Thanks meedee,
mine is usually a mousey brown type colour so this is a big change but i love it.
